Kristin Hungerford brings a unique blend of technical and strategic expertise to her role as Chief of Staff, with a background in Industrial Engineering and a Master in Business Administration.

With over 15 years of experience, she’s conquered manufacturing and distribution worldwide, working on engineering, finance, supply chain, and strategy teams. Kristin is a true pro in continuous improvement and transformation management, driving positive change everywhere she goes, lighting her passion for growth and excellence. 

Throughout her career, she’s made significant contributions to big-name companies like Energizer, Gilbarco Veeder-Root, and Keurig Dr Pepper. She’s been a driving force behind scaling and growing Gray Solutions, ensuring our priorities are on point. She holds the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification.

She stays current with industry trends and embraces new challenges with adaptability, critical thinking, and tenacity. Kristin also possesses the rare ability to decipher the intricate workings of CEO Walker Mattox’s brain (which might be why some people refer to her as Chief of Staff extraordinaire). Like a mind reader, she’s always a step ahead, making things happen.

She finds solace and excitement in the great outdoors, channeling her energy into running, hiking, and exploring new destinations.

Which Gray Solutions job would you like to have for a day?

Process Engineer. Designing and setting up new manufacturing processes is challenging and rewarding. I started my career in a similar role and would love to go back for a day.

Taking time to move my body, get outside or meditate—some days it takes all three!

What excites you about the industry?

Most people have no idea the hard work and coordinated effort that go into getting all the different products they use on a daily basis to them. It’s exciting to work in a space that includes the sometimes unseen or forgotten aspects of getting a product to market and that touches so many lives, from those directly producing the goods to those using them.

Possibilities. I’ve spent my career getting to see some wild ideas come to life and I’m always inspired to just see what comes next.

Shoes. As a runner I put on a lot of miles so I need a good pair of kicks to keep me moving forward.
